Louise Ryan: Paintings

I am Louise Ryan and I am a 42 year old passionate artist. As an artist I have a love hate relationship with my bipolar. My illness can bring me such creative energy and vivid ideas. It can also drain my life-force and cloak me with melancholy. But the beauty and tragedy of the human condition is always at the core of my art. I rejoice in my elation and acknowledge the aesthetic of torment. “The secret of joy is the mastery of pain.” Anaïs Nin.

You can find more of Louise’s artwork on her website Louise Ryan Art or on her Facebook Page.

One Response to Louise Ryan: Paintings

  • I like your art Louise and it does look like a bipolar artist did it. I too am an artist and do music, paintings and poetry. You may find it likable and reflecting as well if you visit my Weblog De Fuego accessed from my audioblog.

I have moments of great inspiration and creative production, then I fizzle out for a cycle of depression and then it’s back to high energy production again. That seems to be the norm with us bipolar artists. I am looking forward to
seeing your new stuff in the future. 🙂 Hugs to you…
